Managing Yourself
- Know your superpowers. Then, make sure you spend as much time leveraging them as possible.
- Know your weaknesses. But spend only enough time on them to prevent them from holding you back.
- Know which type of employee you are: Thinker, Planner, Builder, Scaler, or Seller. Then, make sure you you're working in a role that leverages those strengths.
- Know which type of learner you are. Then, make sure your environment is set up to learn in this way as much as possible.
- Know which type of thinker you are. Then, make sure you are spending time on projects that are conducive to this type of thinking.
Productivity as a Founder
- Be realistic with yourself about what you can get done.
- When at a crossroads, default to action and consistency.
- Build in 15-minute blocks after calls for pause, reflection, and follow-ups.
- Have a list of "must-do's" before your sit down to do your most important work.
- Orient your schedule to slot your most important work based on when you work best.
- Define your productivity as setting intentions for the week and actually working on them.
